Google has a long standing tradition of naming updated versions of their Android operating systems after desserts. This year at the Google I/O Conference, Google announced the yet to be released firmware, Ice Cream Sandwich. The upcoming OS – Ice Cream Sandwich has yet to be numbered and most probably be version 4.0. With the release date of October for Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) arriving closer, a rumour has already surfaced that the name of the OS after ICS has been leaked. In keeping with tradition, Google is apparently naming their next OS Jelly Bean.

Another dessert flavoured name coming Android's way

According to a report by ThisIsMyNext, undisclosed sources have revealed that all the ‘game-changing stuff’, which was initially supposed to be included in the Ice Cream Sandwich update has been pushed back to Jelly Bean. However, there is no word on what those big features exactly are. Another source of ThisIsMyNext backs up the other source by indicating that Jelly Bean is in the running to be the next name. Google tends to name their firmware updates in alphabetical order. With Jelly Bean being one of the few dessert names to start with a J, there is a very good chance it could be the next name.

Ice Cream Sandwich is said to be a big update in itself with it being a common platform for both Android smartphones and tablets. It is also said to be a combination of Gingerbread and Honeycomb which should make for one exciting OS. As of now, we have to just wait and watch what Ice Cream Sandwich brings to the plate. After that we can only try to imagine what major ‘game-changing stuff’ Jelly Bean will offer...N

Google published some very interesting stats in The 1000 most-visited sites on the web report for DoubleClick Ad Planner, its ad management service. Facebook.com supposedly managed to hit 1 trillion pageviews in the month of June, standing at the top of the list a whole order of magnitude higher than the next most visited site – YouTube.com, and its 100 billion pageviews.
The top-five is rounded off with Yahoo.com, Live.com, and Wikipedia.org. Facebook’s showing in June was certainly remarkable, with 870 million unique visitors creating all those pageviews – a figure that is larger than the total number of registered users at last official count (750 million), so unless the site’s membership has also grown since, that makes up for about 120 million non-registered visitors arriving via advertisements, search engines.
Purely in terms of pageviews, Baidu.com comes in second after Facebook at 120 billion pageviews. Smaller social networks like the Russian Vkontakte.ru and Brazilian Orkut.com.br, showed some surprisingly high figures, with 52 billion and 48 billion pageviews respectively...N

Google has released a sneak preview of how the new Gmail interface is going to look like. The Gmail official blog mentions that they want to make Gmail as beautiful as it is powerful. Gmail users who are eager to feel the new look and feel can apply the themes which are made available by the Google team. These themes are available at the end of the theme list and have been called "Preview" and Preview (Dense).
I have tried these new themes and for sure the interface looks light and much cleaner. I am sure the people gadget with a presence indicator, has been there on the right pane for quite a while, but I only noticed it after I applied this new theme. I would not call this new interface/look more beautiful, but certainly it does remove the cluttered look of the existing interface.
The Gmail calendar has also been enhanced. You can try the new look by selecting "Try the new look" from options when on the calendar page. Few functions like quick add, icons for print and refresh have replaced the text which was there earlier.
Google has mentioned that the new features would be rolled out in the coming months. It would be safe to assume that there would be a lot of integration between Gmail and Google+. An integrated email feature within Facebook would have been really nice! It would be interesting to see how Google ties all its products together and gives a single interface to their services. A communication hub with email, calendar, contacts, presence, instant messaging, voice chat, video chat, maps, photo sharing, social networking and a search function across all these.
I am sure your Google will have more information about you than your girlfriend.

Google is trying to detect malware and viruses in the computers of the visitors who are searching on Google Search. They will simply warn the users about there computer’s state of affected from Malwares and Viruses.  Users infected with the virus will see the above warning.

Spam, malware, and mail-order crimes are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the sorts of bad things that happen on the internet. While trying to eradicate every bad site is futile, companies like Google do have the power to block entire “neighborhoods” from showing up in its search results, and that’s just what they’ve done today by banning all subdomains of the greater co.cc domain.

Google has decided to delete all Google Profiles that are set to private on 1 August.
The search giant describes Google Profiles, which are used as your Google+ profiles too, should be public, as 'what the world sees when it searches for you' – so it stands to reason that they be public.

Gmail team is working to make gmail better by changing the look of gmail interface. The upcoming gmail interface will be much simpler, cleaner, and modern looking. You can preview the new interface now.

Google Earth Plus v6.0.3.2197 Final Cracked

Google Earth combines satellite imagery, maps and the power of Google Search to put the world’s geographic information at your fingertips. Fly from space to your neighborhood. Type in an address and zoom right in. Search for schools, parks, restaurants, and hotels. Get driving directions. Tilt and rotate the view to see 3D terrain and buildings. Save and share your searches and favorites. Even add your own annotations.
Google Earth lets you do smooth sailing flybyes of the entire Earth. You can easily fly to any spot on the globe, by entering any associated data, like street addresses, place names or lat/long coordinates. There are overlays that put additional information on the map, like roads, international boundaries, terrain, 3D buildings, crime statistics, schools, stadiums, any number of interesting stuff. You can do Local searches in the program, with icons on the map and a display on the side showing your results.

I’m sure there’s more than one way to easily transfer your Facebook photos and albums to Google’s Picasa service (which will apparently be renamed Google Photos soon, according to social media industry blog Mashable). If you know of a good method for moving from one to the other, do share it in a comment below, but I would like to highlight one that launched very recently.
