- As you may have guessed from all this talk of Cydia (and the fact that it involves modifying the iPhone’s keyboard), your device will need to be jailbroken.
- A number of behaviors that Android Swypers will have grown accustomed to (such as the blue line that is drawn from letter to letter as you trace) aren’t implemented yet. This is the first release, and is pretty barebones.
- The hacked keyboard currently only functions in Apple’s pre-installed applications and a very small handful of third party apps. Liu says he’s working on a fix for this.
- It’s a bit buggy, as is to be expected from a first release

Sprint Nextel Corp. will begin selling the new version of the Apple iPhone in mid-October, people familiar with the matter said, filling a huge hole in the No. 3 U.S. carrier’s lineup and giving Apple Inc. another sales channel for its popular gadget. The timing, however, indicates Apple’s new iPhone, which is expected to be called iPhone 5, will hit the market later than expected and too late to contribute to sales in Apple’s fiscal fourth quarter, which ends in September. Most observers had expected the device to arrive next month.

It's July, there is no new iPhone, and the analysts are restless. This time last year, Apple had already announced and begun shipping the iPhone 4 -- in fact, every single previous model has been announced in June, save for the first, which was unveiled in January 2007. So, now that the month has come and gone and WWDC with it, what are all of the tech publications out there to do? Make with the rumor stories, naturally -- and over the past few weeks, they've been coming fast and furious.

The Vyne is quite an elaborate iPhone Stand, in fact I think its one of the most obvious ones I’ve seen. It has a flexible strap that coils into various forms… going round your neck like a snake charmer’s serpent to sitting pretty on your desk. The flexible elastomer neck and plastic clip secure your phone into place. Good for when you want to watch some videos on the phone. However, mind your step while walking around with it!

The iPhone does play some pretty good quality videos, and sometimes when you have something precious that you want to share with the rest of your friends, the iPhone’s screen might be just too small. What if you had something that could blow up that display to a whole lot bigger for everyone to have a decent look? That’s where the iPhone Video Projector comes in, where this LED-illuminated projection system will deliver 557 x 234 resolution with its 4:3 native aspect ratio. Of course, this means it won’t be as sharp as the iPhone 4’s Retina Display in terms of resolution, but at least it can be projected onto a screen or wall that is up to 110″ diagonally from as close as 20″ or up to a whopping 18′ away. Audio can be played through an integrated sound system, although we would not expect too much from its two 3-watt titanium drivers that have been integrated with the on-board dual 7-watt amplifiers. The 15-watt LED comes with a 30,000-hour lifespan and provides a brilliant 800 lumens for clear, bright pictures and videos – brighter than most other portable projectors. At $299.95, it would make for a nifty living room device.
