Have you installed the native Gmail app on your Android phone? Some of the app users reported that the native Gmail app is not capable of showing complete images within your email. However, it is not a big matter to worry about, for Android developer and hacker at XDA forums have found the easy tips to fix the problem by releasing a modded version of Gmail.apk for Android phones. You can use the .apk file to completely download and view images within your email. The modded version even works on Android devices with or without root. Don’t you think it is great?
Let’s follow the step-by-step instructions below to download and install the modified Gmail.apk.
  • Download the Gmail.apk file and save it on your computer.
  • Connect your phone to the computer, and then mount SD and copy the download .apk file to SD card root.
  • Launch Android Market on your phone and download Astro File Manager.
  • Launch the Astro File Manager and install the Gmail.apk file, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
  • After accomplishing the installation, you should exit file manager and tap on Gmail icon on home screen.
  • Open any email of yours with images to see the real results if this modded file really works.
This is an option for those of you who would like to use ADB to push the APK file on your phone. Follow this command: adb push Gmail.apk /system/app
