Google published some very interesting stats in The 1000 most-visited sites on the web report for DoubleClick Ad Planner, its ad management service. Facebook.com supposedly managed to hit 1 trillion pageviews in the month of June, standing at the top of the list a whole order of magnitude higher than the next most visited site – YouTube.com, and its 100 billion pageviews.
The top-five is rounded off with Yahoo.com, Live.com, and Wikipedia.org. Facebook’s showing in June was certainly remarkable, with 870 million unique visitors creating all those pageviews – a figure that is larger than the total number of registered users at last official count (750 million), so unless the site’s membership has also grown since, that makes up for about 120 million non-registered visitors arriving via advertisements, search engines.
Purely in terms of pageviews, Baidu.com comes in second after Facebook at 120 billion pageviews. Smaller social networks like the Russian Vkontakte.ru and Brazilian Orkut.com.br, showed some surprisingly high figures, with 52 billion and 48 billion pageviews respectively...N..

With most modern audio signals stored in digital format, ASUS has launched its first USB digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), the Xonar Essence One. The USB DAC comes with 8x symmetrical upsampling technology and features a 120dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), audiophile-class headphone AMP and an eleven operational amplifier (op-amp) design for distinct tonal customisation.
While common upsampling USB DACs indistinguishably transfer various audio sources to 192kHz bit rate, the Xonar Essence One upsamples 44.1/88.2/176.4kHz input to 352.8kHz and 48/96/192kHz input to 384kHz symmetrically (Note: 44.1*8=352.8kHz; 48*8=384kHz). As a result, data volume is also increased by upsampling the bit rate to 32bit, corresponding to the original content and faithfully preserving the details of the user’s music.
The Xonar Essence One features a fully swappable op-amp design, unprecedented for a high-end USB DAC. An op-amp is the key part in a DAC that amplifies the analogue signal and affects tonal characteristics, such as darkness or brightness of sound or the overall sound image. The Xonar Essence One allows the user to swap every op-amp that is on board, for a truly customizable sound.
The Xonar Essence One combines three different functions:
1. USB DAC (Digital-to-Analog Convertor)
It upgrades digital music stored on your computer into clear and detailed sounds. It also features XLR and RCA connections for plugging end audio devices.

The Nokia 701, aka "Helen," is said to feature the brightest ever mobile phone display, taking advantage of a 3.5-inch IPS LCD screen with the same ClearBlack tech and Gorilla Glass found in the 700. It appears to have the best specs of the bunch, with a 1GHz CPU, pentaband 3G radio, NFC, 8MP full focus camera with dual LED and a front-facing camera, and 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 40GB using a microSD card). The 701 comes in four hues and offers a stellar 17 hours of GSM talk time (8.8 hours on 3G). The total package comes with a higher price, of course -- the device plans to sell for $420.
Finally, the Nokia 600 "Cindy" is meant to be a music-centric phone sold at a lower price point. With that said, the specs still look pretty good here: alongside the 1GHz CPU, 3.2-inch nHD display, 5MP full focus camera with LED and 720p video capture, NFC, FM transmitter and 2GB internal storage (with external memory available using microSD), it's also Nokia's loudest phone, registering at 106 phons. The 600 also features an FM radio with internal antenna, eliminating the need to plug in headphones to listen in. Battery life is still very good, rated at 15 hours of GSM talk time. Expect the unsubsidized version of the phone to cost roughly $260.

LG has added two new stars to its constellation of Aurora laptops, with the LG S430 and LG S530. Both models are powered by an Intel Core i5 processor, with the S430 boasting a 14-inch, 1366 x 768 HD LCD and the S530 rocking a slightly larger, 15.6-inch display, available in either HD or HD+ (1600 x 900) resolution. Both also feature 8GB of DDR3 memory and up to 750GB of HDD space (5400 RPM), along with your standard WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity. Perhaps most notable, however, is their sleek, metallic veneer and crystalline, scratch-free finish, available in both purple and blue. Pricing remains a mystery, but the pair should be available in Africa, Asia and the Middle East by early next month, before making their way to Europe and the US shortly thereafter.
